Katherine Gulley, MA Counselling, RCC, CCC. Team Lead

Katherine is our Counselling Team Lead, having worked as a Clinical Counsellor / supervisor for 12 years now. She chose this work because she appreciates the unique strengths and perspectives that each client has to offer. Katherine says “I enjoy collaborating with my clients to help them develop a richer understanding of themselves, their strengths, and their needs.” Katherine doesn’t see her job as solving problems, but helping clients determine their own goals, overcome obstacles, and define their own solutions.  She feels privileged to walk along side her clients as they create a new path for themselves.  Katherine is passionate about relationships both professionally and personally - with her clients and the relationships they have or want in their lives, and in her own life and the relationships she has with family and friends.  A Sunday afternoon would find her spending time with friends and family, reading, and being creative.

Nicole Befurt, MC, RCC

Nicole spent five years as a psychometrist while completing her graduate work in clinical counselling, before moving on to private practice, and ultimately joining Seasons Consulting Group early in 2013. Of her work with clients at Seasons, Nicole says “After loss, injury or trauma it may feel like you’re lost in a forest with no hope. My role isn’t to solve people’s problems, but to help them solve their own so they can find their way out of the forest and live the life they want to live.” She loves watching the transitions that follow for clients in their journey of self-discovery, particularly when they find their own strengths and resiliency, despite barriers they face, and uncover a passion for their own lives. Of her personal passion, there’s no doubt; “Learning – and encouraging that in my children.” Family time at the lake rates the highest on the Richter scale for Nicole when she’s out of the office.

Lindsay Burkatsky, BA Psych, MEd, CVRP, CCC

Lindsay comes to our Counselling team with a dual degree focus: Counselling Psychology and Vocational Rehabilitation. This gives her a unique perspective on the interplay between emotional trauma recovery and return to work. Lindsay also works on our Vocational Rehabilitation team, providing vocational evaluation and vocational rehabilitation counselling.  See more about Lindsay there.

Gina Carnegie, MA Counselling, RCC

Gina has been working as a Registered Clinical Counsellor for 5 years. She has experience working with adolescents and adults in a variety of therapeutic settings, and she has significant experience working with Indigenous communities and individuals. Gina is particularly skilled at helping her clients learn practical skills for managing anxiety. Of her career choice, Gina says “I feel drawn to help others. I love watching people make positive changes in their lives and move forward with confidence!” Gina brings that passion for positive change to her practice with clients and considers one of her global responsibilities to bring positivity into play at every turn. Depending on her mood and the weather, Sundays and holidays will find Gina playing with her son outside, rock climbing, or enjoying some self care in the form of personal pampering, reading, or playing video games.

Urszula Zawadzka, BSc Psych, MSc Psych, MA Cnslg, RCC

Urszula holds a BSc Psych, an MSc in Psychology of Sport and Performance from the London Metropolitan University and a MA Counselling from City University in Vancouver. Urszula believes that everyone has a potential to excel, but sometimes through different life experiences, they lose sight of their abilities. “What I do is help people find their strengths and their purpose – particularly those strengths they have but aren’t yet aware of.” In her work with people, Urszula helps others build their relationships, overcome their obstacles and gain the confidence needed to achieve their goals.  She finds joy in seeing people realize their potential.  A lover of the great outdoors, Urszula is passionate about connecting physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Her downtime is spent hiking with her dog, sailing, paddleboarding or skiing with friends and family.
