Katy Greenway, BSc Kin, PK (BC), TEAM LEAD

Katy has worked with us since April 2015 and as a Registered Kinesiologist in both clinic and community settings since 2011. Her experience has included work with both corporate clients and high-risk populations, and her joy in her work comes from helping people live a more fulfilling life. Katy has been passionate about fitness and healthy living since a young age, and she finds the opportunity to share that passion with others to help improve their quality of life very rewarding. Her approach is to set realistic goals with her clients and then find creative ways to achieve those goals, one step at a time. She uses encouragement and motivational techniques to help her clients maximize their recovery. In her free time she can be found hiking or running trails, golfing, kayaking, cross country skiing, or just being outside in the beautiful Kamloops sunshine. She also enjoys dance and yoga as well as kicking back with friends over a fun board game.

Christine Weston, BSc Kin, PK (BC)

Christine has been working for a decade in the rehabilitation industry; two years in Ontario and the rest here in BC. Christine says “I love the early rehabilitation work – I’m not the ‘strength and conditioning’ girl! What excites me about this work is seeing someone reclaiming parts of their life that they enjoy but haven’t been able to do since their injury.” Christine excels at creating a non-threatening environment in which clients can be at ease with her and the work that needs to be done for their lives to gain momentum. When the work week is done, “being active” is what keeps her engaged; yoga, running, skiing and heading to the park with her family top the list.

Jessica Thompson, BHK, PK (BC)

Jessica has her Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree from UBCO.  Having experienced how physical activity was of benefit in her own life, she chose a career where she could help others’ day to day living be more enjoyable and healthy.  Jessica thrives on developing new exercise approaches and introducing a different view to her clients’ rehabilitation challenges.  “I am excited to work in a field where every day and every client gives me the opportunity to help develop and improve someone’s day to day functioning” says Jessica.  Professionally, Jessica loves to learn new techniques and training methods and is passionate about working with clients to achieve their goals.  Family and friends are very important to her personal life, and as a skier and hiker, she loves spending time with them in the outdoors.  Recently introduced to golf, Jessica looks forward to practicing on the local greens in the Thompson area sunshine.

Jacob Coelho, BHK, PK (BC)

Jacob has a keen interest in the rehabilitation industry and in the promotion of healing and healthy lifestyles for those with whom he works. His Kinesiology studies were driven by his fascination with the complexities of the human body; how it works and what it needs to thrive. He is excited by the progress and eventual success clients experience during the rehab process. “My passion is helping people become better versions of themselves,” says Jacob. “Seeing peoples’ functioning improve, and watching them live healthier lives, is very rewarding.” Jacob’s number one personal interest involves a variety of sports, and he is an athlete, coach, trainer and referee. If he isn’t doing one of those activities on the weekend, he can be found at home reading or hanging out with his family.

Hannah Bergman, BHK

Hannah completed a practicum at Seasons Health in 2018 because of her interest in the field of injury rehab, and has now returned as a practicing Kinesiologist.  Hannah says “Exercise has always been important to me. I decided to study Kinesiology because I believe exercise can be a great complement to traditional medical interventions, increasing both the physical and mental health of individuals from all walks of life.”  She is in her element when she can increase a client’s confidence about their rehabilitation and can work with them to move forward with a positive perspective. Hannah places a high value on building mutually collaborative partnerships with clients in order to design individualized programs with productive goals. She is also passionate about maintaining her own personal wellness through running, yoga, delicious food (especially ice-cream), exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Weekend activities include backcountry hiking, camping, fishing, or working on her GMC Safari van conversion.
